All Questions
Which is the best signage company in Riyadh?
Al-Rashid Sign has manufactured signage in Riyadh since 1980 — over four decades and more than 5,000 completed projects. What separates us from most competitors is that everything is produced in our own Riyadh factory: design, CNC and laser fabrication, powder coating, LED assembly and installation. Nothing is subcontracted, so quality control, pricing and deadlines stay in our hands. We hold a 4.3 star rating on Google.
How much does a signboard cost in Riyadh?
Cost depends on sign type, size, materials and whether it is illuminated. Vinyl and printed banners are the most economical; acrylic and non-illuminated letters sit in the middle; illuminated 3D channel letters, stainless steel and LED screens are the premium tier. Send your requirement, rough dimensions and a photo of the location on WhatsApp and we will return an itemised quotation, usually the same working day.
How long does it take to make a sign?
Printed banners, vinyl graphics and standard stamps are typically ready in 24–72 hours. A standard shopfront set of 3D emboss letters takes 5–7 working days from artwork approval. Large facade projects, LED screen installations and full interior fit-outs run 2–4 weeks. Expedited production is available when you have a fixed opening date.
Do you handle Riyadh Municipality signage permits?
Yes. We prepare the dimensioned drawings, structural details and photo-montage visuals typically required for Riyadh Municipality signage and outdoor advertising approvals, and we guide you through submission. Permit fees and final approval rest with the authority, but the technical documentation is handled by us.
Do you make signs in Arabic?
Yes — bilingual Arabic and English signage is the majority of our work. Arabic script needs genuine typographic care: connected letterforms, stroke weights and diacritics all have to be resolved properly, especially in neon and 3D fabrication. We redraw Arabic wordmarks as clean vectors and set both scripts so they read as one designed sign rather than two pasted together.
Which areas of Saudi Arabia do you serve?
We are based in As Salhiyah, Riyadh and serve the whole of Riyadh including Olaya, Al Malaz, Al Naseem, King Fahd District, the Diplomatic Quarter and Riyadh Front. We also deliver and install across Saudi Arabia — Jeddah, Dammam, Khobar, Makkah and Madinah — and undertake projects in other GCC countries.
Do you provide installation, or only manufacturing?
Both. Our own installation teams handle site survey, structural assessment, mounting, electrical connection and commissioning. Using our installers rather than a third party means a single point of accountability — if something needs attention later, there is no argument about whose responsibility it is.
Can you produce a 3D mockup before I commit?
Yes, and we recommend it. Our design team produces a photorealistic 3D render of the proposed sign placed on a photograph of your actual building or interior, so you can judge scale, colour and illumination in context before any material is cut.
What is the difference between LED neon and glass neon?
LED neon uses flexible silicone tubing packed with LEDs — energy-efficient, shatterproof, dimmable, RGB-capable and rated around 50,000 hours. Glass neon uses hand-bent glass tubes filled with neon or argon gas, giving the warm organic glow of traditional neon. LED is more practical and cheaper to run; glass is the authentic article. We fabricate both in Riyadh.
Do you offer a warranty on your signage?
Yes. Workmanship and LED components are covered by warranty, with the term depending on the product and its exposure. Because we manufacture and install ourselves, warranty claims are handled directly by us rather than being passed between a supplier and a separate installer.
How much do 3D emboss letters cost in Riyadh?
Pricing depends on material, letter height, illumination and quantity. As a guide, non-illuminated acrylic letters are the most economical, powder-coated aluminium channel letters sit in the middle, and stainless steel or brass halo-lit letters are the premium tier. Send us your logo and facade dimensions on WhatsApp and we will return an itemised quotation, usually the same working day.
How long does fabrication take?
A standard shopfront set of frontlit channel letters takes 5–7 working days from artwork approval. Large facade projects, PVD-finished stainless or multi-branch rollouts typically run 2–3 weeks. Expedited production is available for urgent openings.
Do you handle installation and municipality approval?
Yes. We carry out the site survey, structural assessment, mounting and electrical connection ourselves. We also prepare the dimensioned drawings and visuals commonly required for Riyadh Municipality signage permits and can guide you through the submission.
What is the difference between frontlit and backlit letters?
Frontlit letters have a translucent acrylic face that glows outward — maximum brightness and readability from a distance, best for retail and roadside visibility. Backlit (halo-lit) letters have a solid metal face and throw light behind onto the wall, producing a soft outline glow — a more understated, premium look suited to lobbies, clinics and corporate offices.
Which material lasts longest outdoors in Riyadh?
For Riyadh's heat, UV and dust, 316 stainless steel and powder-coated marine-grade aluminium perform best, typically 10+ years with minimal maintenance. Acrylic faces should be UV-stabilised cast acrylic rather than extruded, otherwise yellowing can begin within a few seasons.
What is the difference between LED neon and glass neon?
LED neon uses flexible silicone tubing packed with LEDs — it is energy-efficient, shatterproof, dimmable, available in RGB and rated around 50,000 hours. Glass neon uses hand-bent glass tubes filled with neon or argon gas and driven by a high-voltage transformer, giving the warm organic glow of traditional neon. LED is more practical and cheaper to run; glass is the authentic article. We fabricate both in Riyadh.
Can neon signs be used outdoors in Riyadh?
Yes. Our LED neon is IP67 rated, so it handles rain, dust and washing, and the silicone is UV-stabilised against Riyadh's sun. Glass neon can also go outdoors but must be housed in a sealed, ventilated enclosure to protect the tube and transformer. For most exterior applications we recommend LED neon.
How long does a custom neon sign take to make?
Standard LED neon signs take 3–5 working days from artwork approval. Hand-bent glass neon takes 7–12 working days because each tube is formed and processed individually. Large multi-piece installations and Arabic calligraphy work may take longer; we confirm dates when quoting.
Can you make a neon sign of my logo or in Arabic?
Yes — logos and Arabic calligraphy are among our most common requests. Send us your logo file, or even a photo or sketch, and our design team will redraw it as a clean vector suitable for neon, then send you a preview before production begins.
How much does a custom neon sign cost in Riyadh?
Cost is driven by total tube length, number of colours and whether you choose LED or glass. Small interior LED pieces are very affordable; large multi-colour glass installations sit at the premium end. Send your text or logo and rough size on WhatsApp for a same-day quote.
Do you produce bilingual Arabic and English indoor signs?
Yes, and it is our default recommendation for any public-facing building in Riyadh. We typeset Arabic properly rather than machine-translating and stretching it, matching optical weight and size to the Latin text so both scripts sit together as one designed sign.
Can you sign an entire office or clinic as one project?
Yes. We carry out a site survey, produce a full sign schedule covering every plate, directory and directional panel, supply a single design system across all of them, then manufacture and install. Working this way is cheaper than ordering signs piecemeal and gives a far more coherent result.
What indoor signage is best for clinics and hospitals?
Non-porous, wipeable materials — cast acrylic and anodised aluminium — because they survive repeated disinfection without clouding or corroding. We avoid unsealed timber and porous laminates in clinical areas, and we recommend modular panels so department names can be changed without replacing the fitting.
Can signs be updated when staff or tenants change?
Yes. We build directories and name plates as modular systems with slide-in inserts, magnetic faces or replaceable panels, so you can update a name without buying a new sign. Replacement inserts can be ordered from us at any time.
Do you help obtain municipality permits for outdoor signs in Riyadh?
Yes. We prepare the dimensioned drawings, structural details and photo-montage visuals typically required for Riyadh Municipality outdoor advertising and signage approvals, and we guide you through the submission. Permit fees and final approval remain with the authority, but we handle the technical documentation.
Can you brand an entire vehicle fleet?
Yes. We produce partial and full wraps in cast vinyl, using a template for your specific vehicle models so branding is consistent across the fleet. We can stage installation so only a few vehicles are off the road at a time, and we keep your artwork on file for future additions.
How long do outdoor graphics last in Riyadh's climate?
With cast vinyl and UV-stable inks plus a protective over-laminate, expect 3–5 years for vehicle wraps and printed facade graphics. Fabricated metal and ACP signage lasts considerably longer — 10 years or more. Unlaminated economy vinyl will fade noticeably within about a year in direct Riyadh sun, which is why we do not recommend it for permanent work.
What is the most cost-effective outdoor advertising format?
For most Riyadh businesses, vehicle fleet branding delivers the lowest cost per impression because the media is already on the road. For a fixed location, a well-lit fascia or blade sign usually outperforms rented billboard space over any period longer than a few months, since you own the asset outright.
How fast can you print a banner in Riyadh?
Standard flex banners and roll-up stands are typically ready within 24–48 hours of artwork approval. If you have an event deadline, tell us the date when you enquire — we can often prioritise urgent jobs and same-day production is sometimes possible for simple items.
What file format should I send for printing?
Vector files are best — AI, EPS or print-ready PDF with fonts outlined. For photographs or raster artwork, supply 100–150 DPI at final size for large banners and 300 DPI for close-viewed items, with 10 mm bleed. If you only have a logo and some text, our design team can build the artwork for you.
What is the difference between flex and mesh banners?
Flex is a solid PVC material giving the brightest, most saturated print — the default for shop banners and backdrops. Mesh is perforated so wind passes through, which makes it the right choice for building wraps, fencing and any exposed high-level site where a solid banner would act as a sail and tear.
Do you print vehicle stickers and window graphics?
Yes. We print and install cast vinyl vehicle graphics, one-way vision perforated window film that lets you see out while displaying a full graphic outside, frosted privacy film, and cut-vinyl lettering for shopfront glass.
What materials can you laser cut?
Cast acrylic up to 30 mm, MDF and plywood up to 18 mm, stainless steel up to 10 mm, mild steel up to 12 mm and aluminium up to 8 mm, plus leather, textiles, paper and card. We do not cut PVC, polycarbonate or any chlorinated plastic, because cutting them releases corrosive and toxic fumes.
Can you cut a one-off custom part?
Yes. There is no minimum order — we regularly produce single prototypes for designers, architects and engineers in Riyadh, as well as production runs. Send a vector file (AI, DXF, EPS or PDF) with dimensions and material, and we will quote.
What is the difference between laser engraving and printing?
Printing sits on top of the surface and can eventually scratch, peel or fade. Engraving alters the material itself — vaporising a layer or annealing the metal — so the mark is permanent. For awards, nameplates, asset tags and anything handled frequently, engraving is the right choice.
How accurate is your laser cutting?
Our machines hold roughly ±0.1 mm on most materials, which is well inside the tolerance needed for signage components, interlocking parts and press-fit assemblies. For critical tolerances tell us when quoting and we will confirm what is achievable in your chosen material and thickness.
What is aluminium composite panel (ACP)?
ACP is a sandwich panel: two thin aluminium sheets bonded either side of a mineral or polyethylene core. It is lightweight, stays flat across large spans, resists weather, and can be routed and folded into precise three-dimensional shapes — which makes it ideal for facades, shopfront fascias and signage structures.
Is ACP cladding fire safe?
It depends entirely on the core. Standard polyethylene (PE) core is combustible and is not appropriate for high-rise or public buildings. Fire-retardant (FR) and mineral A2 cores are engineered to resist flame spread. We specify FR or A2 core by default wherever building height or occupancy warrants it, and we will always tell you which core a quotation is based on.
How long does ACP cladding last in Riyadh?
With a PVDF (Kynar) coating, expect 15–20 years of service with good colour retention in Riyadh's UV conditions. Cheaper polyester (PE) coatings fade noticeably faster in Gulf sun, so we specify PVDF for all exterior work. Coating warranties from the panel manufacturer typically run 10–20 years.
Can ACP be printed or combined with 3D letters?
Yes — that is one of the most common shopfront builds we deliver. An ACP fascia band provides the flat, durable backing, and <a href='/services/emboss-letters/'>3D emboss letters</a>, a lightbox or <a href='/services/plotter-cutting/'>vinyl graphics</a> are mounted onto it. We can also direct UV-print onto ACP panels for graphic-heavy signage.
What pixel pitch do I need for my LED screen?
As a rule of thumb, the minimum comfortable viewing distance in metres is roughly equal to the pixel pitch in millimetres. A P3 screen looks sharp from about 3 metres, so it suits a restaurant or showroom; a roadside board viewed from 10 metres or more can use P8–P10 and cost far less. Tell us the viewing distance and we will specify the most economical pitch that still looks sharp.
Can LED screens work outdoors in Riyadh's heat?
Yes, provided they are specified for it. Outdoor screens need 5,000–8,000 nits brightness to remain readable in direct sun, IP65 sealing front and rear against dust and rain, and active cooling sized for summer ambient temperatures. We only supply outdoor-rated cabinets for exterior installations and include thermal management in the design.
Who manages the content on the screen?
You do — we set the system up so your own team can. We install and configure the content management software, create your initial playlists and schedules, and train your staff. If you would prefer not to manage it in-house, we can handle content scheduling for you under a service agreement.
Do you provide maintenance for LED screens?
Yes. We offer scheduled maintenance contracts covering dust cleaning, thermal and power checks, module replacement and software updates. In Riyadh's dust conditions this matters more than most buyers expect — regular cleaning and cooling checks noticeably extend the service life of an outdoor screen.
Do you provide 3D visuals before starting work?
Yes. Every interior project includes photorealistic 3D renders of your actual space, produced from our site survey. You approve materials, colours and lighting from the visuals before we cut anything, which removes most of the risk from the process.
Can you work outside business hours?
Yes. For occupied offices, operating restaurants and trading retail we routinely schedule installation overnight, on weekends or in phases so your business keeps running. Tell us your constraints at the quotation stage and we will build the programme around them.
What materials do you use for 3D wall modules?
MDF (painted or veneered), cast acrylic, HPL laminate, aluminium, Corian-type solid surface and composite panel. Choice depends on the location — moisture-resistant and non-porous materials for kitchens and washrooms, and fire-rated substrates wherever the building's specification requires them.
Do you handle the full fit-out or only signage elements?
We handle branded interior elements end to end — feature walls, 3D modules, graphics, signage and custom display fixtures — including design, fabrication and installation. For full construction packages involving MEP, flooring and ceilings we work alongside your main contractor, or can recommend one.
What is the difference between cut vinyl and printed stickers?
Cut vinyl is machine-cut to the exact shape of your letters or logo, so there is no background — on glass the graphic appears to float with no visible panel edge. Printed stickers carry full-colour artwork on a rectangular or contour-cut substrate. Cut vinyl looks cleaner for text and single-colour logos; printing is required for photographs and gradients.
How long does vinyl last on a shopfront in Riyadh?
Polymeric vinyl on flat exterior glass typically lasts 3–5 years in Riyadh, and cast vinyl 5–8 years. Direct sun exposure shortens this, so for south-facing glass we recommend cast vinyl with a UV-stable adhesive rather than economy calendered film.
Can you remove old vinyl and stickers?
Yes, and we are often called for removal alone. We use controlled heat and appropriate solvents to lift aged vinyl and clear the adhesive residue without scratching glass or damaging paintwork — which matters particularly on vehicles and on leased premises being handed back.
Do you install frosted film for privacy?
Yes. We supply and install frosted and etched-effect film for meeting rooms, clinic consultation rooms, washrooms and glass partitions. Logos, patterns and clear view-strips can be cut into the film, and it doubles as window manifestation for safety compliance on large glass panels.
How quickly can I get a company stamp in Riyadh?
Standard self-inking stamps with approved artwork submitted before midday are usually ready the same working day. Embossing seals, large-format stamps and complex custom dies take 2–3 working days. Send your details on WhatsApp and we will confirm the collection time.
Can you make Arabic and bilingual stamps?
Yes — bilingual Arabic and English stamps are the majority of what we produce. We set the Arabic in typefaces that stay legible at stamp scale and send you a digital proof at actual size so you can check spelling, CR number and layout before we engrave.
What is the difference between self-inking and pre-inked stamps?
Self-inking stamps carry an internal ink pad that re-inks the die after each impression — around 5,000 impressions before re-inking, and they are the practical choice for everyday office use. Pre-inked stamps hold ink within the die itself, giving a sharper, more detailed impression and around 50,000 impressions, which suits very high volume or highly detailed seals.
Do I need to provide artwork?
Not necessarily. If you have a vector logo, send it — that gives the best result. If not, send a clear photo or scan of your letterhead or existing stamp and our design team will redraw it as a clean vector at no extra cost, then send you a proof to approve.
What is the minimum order for corporate gifts?
There is no minimum for engraved awards, shields and plaques — we regularly produce single pieces for individual recognition. Promotional merchandise such as printed pens or bags does have supplier minimums, typically 50–100 units depending on the item. Ask us and we will tell you the threshold for what you have in mind.
How far in advance should I order awards for an event?
Two to three weeks is comfortable for a standard award order and allows time for proofing and any corrections to names and titles. For large ceremonies or fully custom designs, allow 4–6 weeks. If your date is tighter than that, tell us — we can often expedite, and we always schedule production backwards from the ceremony date.
Can you engrave names and titles on individual awards?
Yes. Individual personalisation is standard and there is no extra charge for variable names within an order. Send us a spreadsheet of names, titles and any dates, and we will send a digital proof of every piece for approval before engraving — this is where spelling errors get caught.
Do you supply Ramadan and Eid corporate gift sets?
Yes, and these are among our busiest orders. We can assemble branded gift sets with dates, coffee, engraved items and custom packaging. Because demand concentrates into a short window, we recommend placing Ramadan orders at least six weeks ahead to secure stock and production slots.
Do you run campaigns in Arabic as well as English?
Yes, and we consider it essential in this market. Arabic and English searchers in Riyadh use different phrasing and often have different intent, so we build separate keyword sets, ad groups and content for each rather than translating one into the other. All Arabic copy is written by native speakers, not machine-translated.
How long does SEO take to show results in Saudi Arabia?
Local SEO and Google Business Profile work often produce visible movement within 4–8 weeks. Competitive organic keywords such as 'signage company in Riyadh' typically take 3–6 months of consistent work to reach page one, depending on the strength of the existing site and the competition. Anyone promising page one in a fortnight is not being straight with you.
Can you manage our Google Business Profile?
Yes. We optimise the profile itself — categories, services, attributes, description and geographic targeting — publish regular posts, add and label photographs, respond to reviews, and monitor the insights. For businesses with a physical location in Riyadh this is usually the single highest-return digital activity available.
Do you require a long-term contract?
No. We work on rolling monthly agreements. We would rather keep your business by producing results than by locking you into a contract you want out of.
