Custom 3D emboss letters fabricated in Riyadh by Al-Rashid Sign

Custom 3D emboss letters made in Riyadh

Emboss letters — also called 3D letters, channel letters or built-up lettering — are the single most recognisable form of business signage in Saudi Arabia. Al-Rashid Sign has been fabricating them in Riyadh since 1980, and we control every stage in-house: CNC profiling, welding, grinding, electrostatic powder coating, LED assembly and on-site installation. Letters are profiled on the same laser and CNC machines we use for all our fabrication work.

Because nothing is outsourced, we hold tolerances that subcontracted workshops cannot, and we can turn around a standard shopfront set in 5–7 working days.

Letter types we fabricate

Frontlit channel letters

The classic illuminated shop sign. An aluminium or galvanised return with an acrylic face, lit from inside by high-efficiency LED modules. Bright, legible from distance, and the most cost-effective illuminated option for retail.

Backlit / halo-lit letters

Solid metal faces with LEDs firing backwards onto the wall, creating a soft halo. The premium choice for corporate lobbies, hotels, clinics and banks — it reads as expensive because it is restrained.

Non-illuminated built-up letters

Brushed stainless steel, mirror-polish steel, brass, copper or painted aluminium mounted on locators or flush to the wall. Ideal for interiors, monument signs and heritage-style facades.

Acrylic and layered letters

Laser-cut cast acrylic in gloss, matte or frosted finishes, often layered to build depth and shadow. Popular for reception walls, clinics and boutique retail.

FAQ

Questions About Emboss Letters (3D Signs)

How much do 3D emboss letters cost in Riyadh?

Pricing depends on material, letter height, illumination and quantity. As a guide, non-illuminated acrylic letters are the most economical, powder-coated aluminium channel letters sit in the middle, and stainless steel or brass halo-lit letters are the premium tier. Send us your logo and facade dimensions on WhatsApp and we will return an itemised quotation, usually the same working day.

How long does fabrication take?

A standard shopfront set of frontlit channel letters takes 5–7 working days from artwork approval. Large facade projects, PVD-finished stainless or multi-branch rollouts typically run 2–3 weeks. Expedited production is available for urgent openings.

Do you handle installation and municipality approval?

Yes. We carry out the site survey, structural assessment, mounting and electrical connection ourselves. We also prepare the dimensioned drawings and visuals commonly required for Riyadh Municipality signage permits and can guide you through the submission.

What is the difference between frontlit and backlit letters?

Frontlit letters have a translucent acrylic face that glows outward — maximum brightness and readability from a distance, best for retail and roadside visibility. Backlit (halo-lit) letters have a solid metal face and throw light behind onto the wall, producing a soft outline glow — a more understated, premium look suited to lobbies, clinics and corporate offices.

Which material lasts longest outdoors in Riyadh?

For Riyadh's heat, UV and dust, 316 stainless steel and powder-coated marine-grade aluminium perform best, typically 10+ years with minimal maintenance. Acrylic faces should be UV-stabilised cast acrylic rather than extruded, otherwise yellowing can begin within a few seasons.
